This will be Laurie's first visit to Portland, a hop-skip-jump down from her new home of Seattle, WA. You've probably seen her saucy silk charmeuse creations in Jane's Vanity in the past, as her "It's your Birthday" shelf set, custom made in scarlet red, was the smash of 2010's Holiday Fashion Show. Seeing is believing with this magnificent collection: the quality of the silk & the construction of her uniquely flirty designs is absolutely couture-quality, a treat to behold and a treasure to own.
Inspired by vintage couture gowns of the 30's-50's, Toad Lillie is a fabulous combination of glamour and saucy insouciance. Ruffles, bows, drawstrings and peepholes adorn her bras and knickers, most often produced in jewel-toned silk charmeuse. From ruffled creations seemingly made to peek from a low-cut sweater to shelf-bras that will bring out the burlesque star within, Toad Lillie's line is endlessly feminine and flirtatious. Each piece is truly bespoke, made to order & sewn by hand using couture techniques by the designer herself.
